Inside knowledge

I always wondered why my bridal customers would plan their wedding up to 18 months in advance, and want to talk over tiara and jewellery ideas long before the big day!!! Now that I'm a bride-to-be myself I have the inside knowledge... there's so much to do!

I have to admit that I would class myself under the 'extremely organised perfectionist' category, whether it comes to my day-to-day life (from plumbing emergencies...to socialising) or my work life (from making tiaras and jewellery...to wedding magazine publicity), but with a wedding only a few months away, my 'to do' list is writing itself and I'm somewhat overwhelmed by what needs to go into a wedding.

And I'm one of the lucky ones...because I've been making tiaras and jewellery for over 6 years, I've met some incredibly talented people that I've now turned to to help in my own wedding plans.  My wedding dress is being created by the excellent costume designer Anna-Maria D'amato who's also getting married next year, and in return I'll be making her wedding jewellery and my partner (husband-to-be) will be filming her wedding, as he's a wedding & events videographer.

I met the lovely Steph from Fairy Nuff Flowers a few months ago, when she fell in love with my 'Atlantis' tiara and turns out she's engaged too...so she's creating our gorgeous flowers and I'll be making her tiara soon.

And guess who's making my jewellery!!!  

I'll write more about my own tiara and jewellery soon...but right now I've got to get making an 'Entwine' Tiara for one of my stockists who's just called to say they've sold another one.
